Once we put our backpacks at our classrooms, we walked to the playground. We got to play on the blacktop but not on the field. You could not play with any balls. When the bell rung we would go to our lines and wait for our teachers. When they came they would take us to our classrooms.
When we were going inside, we stopped outside the classroom and formed a circle. In this circle, we turned to our partners and spoke. The first thing we spoke about, was things that concerned us, whether it was about school, or it was personal. Next we spoke about ice cream. We talked about our favorite flavor of ice cream and then shared out some of our answers.
After the morning circle, we went to go get out or chromebooks and logged onto front rowed to do the math practice. When we were done with the math practice we did, base ten. For base ten we had to do addition subtraction multiplication and division. We did the base ten until our teacher told us to stop.
Shortly, we got into our history group. We had to compare our article/picture with other people. Our groups had to figure out why we were all related. Then we got a giant piece of paper and wrote down a couple of things that proved, that we were in the same group. One person had to stay back and introduce their sentences that they had made. The other people went around the classroom and wrote down anything that the group had forgotten.
After History we went to recess most of the people were playing tag and soccer I was playing kickball with my friends
Once, recess was over we went back to history. We pinned our resources to the timeline. To make sure we weren’t so crowded we went in groups.
Following history, Mrs.Citizen told us to get Love that Dog out. She told someone to pass out the poems, she asked anyone to share their poems. After a few people shared their poems, she asked the class who remembers what happened last time we read. Once some people shared, we started to read a few pages of Love that Dog. We practiced how to read italicized words, we practiced over and over until we got it right.
After we read Love That Dog, We grabbed our lunches and went to the pavilion. We waited for the bin. The bin came we put our lunches inside the bin and went to go to recess. When the bell rang we lined up and waited. When we got excused we went to get our lunches in the pavilion. 5 minutes in and the bell rang then we went to our line.
Following lunch, Mrs.Citizen showed the poems that we had shared on the board. She read the poems to us a couple of times before she said,”Be creative.” and when she said start, we wrote until the timer dinged. Then she showed us another poem someone else shared. Mrs. Citizen gave us the same amount to write as the last one. And when the timer dinged, she gave us time to add on to one of our paragraphs. When that time was up we put our writing notebook away and waited for instructions.
After writing, we went to the library. Ms. Johnson discussed the rules for the library. We could not shout or run in the library. We also could only get 2 books. She let us go by rows. We got a marker and headed towards the books. You could get whatever books you wanted. You just needed to get at least one book that was your grade level. You had to check out your books and type in your five digit number. We all got a bookmark. We then picked our own book to keep and sat down to read.
Then, we did the #bestweekever because it was the end of another fun week. The directions said to change the background to your liking and to type a tweet. Everyone followed the rules and had a great time. Everyone had to type a tweet that included the #bestweekever and a tweet about there favorite thing about the week. Everyone choose their background and typed a tweet. We all had a fun time typing #bestweekever.
Towards the end of the day we did GoNoodle, GoNoodle is a way that a students can get energized and active. You can do dancing to Maximo the talking monkey that does many funny dances. On Friday we did the peanut butter jelly song and watch me whip and nae nae. You can dance and do many other fun things. Hopefully during the year we can do GoNoodle more often because it it a fun way to get active in class.
Finally, it was the end of the day. Everyone packs up to get ready to go home. The whole school ready for the three day weekend. Room 33 lines up on the blacktop all ready to go. The bell rings and all of the students go there ways and leave. We had a really fun friday doing many fun and educational things.
