When the day started, after the bell rang, we lined up at room 33’s line. We took our items and got into our line order. We faced the east and started walking toward our classroom. We went up the stairs and put our items on the backpack racks. We started the next thing on the daily plan.
Once we came inside we walked to any seat that was not occupied. We took out our books and began to read. Our teacher said that we got 30 minutes of reading in the morning. Either We brought our book from home or it’s from Mrs. Citizen’s library. Everyone was reading quietly for about 30 minutes. When Mrs. Citizen told us to stop. We did what our teacher told us to do next.
After we finished reading Mrs. Citizen told us to get into to our groups for the class flow map. Then my group wrote a summary of Friday. We wrote a lot of details. Then one person had to share a doc with all of the group. We copied everything we wrote to type and we corrected that.
After we got our chromebook out and our papers we wrote about ourselves. Then we logged on to animoto and clicked create. We had to choose a theme first, then we edit it and added pictures and write it. We worked about 15 minutes, unt.il our teacher said to stop.
Also, today we did the sixty second math to help our math facts. Our teacher said that if you do it each day it will help us. So each day we do it in the morning. We only get sixty second to try and get as many math problems as we can. There are thirty-six problem on each paper to try and figure out. By the end of the year everyone will be way better at math facts for 6th grade.
Once the class was finished their 60 second sweep, we lined up for recess. When recess started you can play many different things. You can play soccer, football, basketball, kickball, foursquare, punch ball, and you can also play on the playground.
Today after recess, we did Glogster. Glogster is a website that you can make a book time line and have your teacher assign a project, and much, much more. Our assignment was to make a book time line with our top ten favorite books. We also had to put a summary of the book on top of the book picture.
After starting Glogster, we started Digital Citizenship. We were numbered 1-5. We got into groups and tried to figure out what a band-aid, toothbrush, lock, sharpie, coffee filter, and glitter glue pen have to do with digital citizenship. We put it on brace map and added our names. We did this all on Google Drawing.
Once we finished the digital citizenship project, we moved on to writing. We wrote about Tuesday. We wrote about all the things we had done the day before, and worked in groups. We eventually moved on to typing, we typed for a while, and eventually, we were done.
After writing, we lined up outside to go to recess. You could go on the blacktop or the field. On the blacktop you could play basketball, foursquare, and punch ball. You could also play on the structures or you could play with a jumprope. On the field, you could play soccer, football or kickball. We then would go and eat our lunch after the bell. We would line up and wait for the proctors to tell us to go to the pavilion. Then our teachers would take us to our classroom’s.
After lunch since we had a short day we had to write our homework. Mrs.Citizen told us to pack up our backpacks so we could leave. At 1:20 we left because today was a Wednesday.
